About Michelle……
Michelle (she/her) is a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about providing affirming, inclusive care. She has experience across both public and private settings—including public hospitals—in the areas of chronic pain, chronic fatigue, and adult and paediatric rehabilitation. She currently works in private practice across two locations, and also offers services online via Telehealth.
Michelle is trained in a range of evidence-based approaches, including NEDC-approved Eating Disorder treatment, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, and providing affirming support for neurodivergent individuals. She has contributed to LGBTQIA+ organisations, including as a working group member and as a volunteer. Michelle also undergoes dedicated and ongoing post-graduate training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), which focuses on accepting emotions and working through the process-driven aspects of treatment.
Michelle’s path into psychology was shaped by earlier roles in Community Mental Health, including working in leadership positions in supported living environments, and psychiatric disability services. These formative experiences laid the foundation for her empathetic approach and her commitment to destigmatising mental health—values that have guided her through a nearly decade-long career in the health care field. She is dedicated to ongoing learning and remains committed to delivering both affirming and evidence-based care.
