Therapy for Adults (18+)

Michelle offers individual therapy for adults using a range of modalities, including exploring thoughts, emotions, behaviours and somatic changes that can come about from mental struggles.

She is trained in Cognitive therapies, including, CBT, ACT and Schema Therapy. These therapies target thoughts, behaviours, and underlying core beliefs, that may be causing suffering.

She is also trained in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), which focuses on emotions, internal and unconscious conflict, and in-the-moment anxiety and emotional regulation.

Individual therapy for Adults:

  • In-person and via Telehealth

  • Therapy for a range of various needs, including emotional support.

  • Informed consent and trauma-informed model.

  • Treatment, Diagnosis and Assessment of mental health conditions.

  • Accepts Medi-care rebates and private paying/private health.

What to expect from the initial sessions:

  • In the initial sessions, we will go through your presenting issues and agree upon some initial goals.

  • History taking of previous experiences of mental suffering.

  • Exploring strengths and barriers.

  • Discussing recommended therapy modalties and treatment plan.

  • Recommendations on any further supports, if needed.

From here we will start to work on your goals, in aims to help reduce your suffering.
